Overview.

MEMBRANE has a team of engineers organized in departments (Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical & Control, Software) ready to serve our Customers.

 

Our engineers perform the required duties in our office or at the various international sites inshore and offshore, including FPSO, offshore rigs, platforms, artificial islands, etc.

In a typical year we perform over 100 service missions anywhere in the world.

Customers confidently place their confidence in our unique team of engineers who is specialized in membrane technology, sewage systems, desalination, chemical dosing.

 

The amazing professional capabilities of our people competently address any technology issue in our field of operation.

Qualifications represent another record for our personnel, who is capable of dealing with fine details  within the ASME V, VIII, IX, X and ANSI standards, as well as UNI, DIN, ASTM, PED, CE, NORSOK, GOST, ATEX, API.

 

Our people safely operate under OHSAS 18001 rules, being MEMBRANE a certified company and a very safety-aware company.

Quality documentation is released in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and traceability of all operaations performed.

Engineering

Overview.

MEMBRANE's engineering organized in departments (Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical & Control, Software) each capable of working as an integrated team part of an EPC structure.

 

MEMBRANE routinely develops engineering at all stages, altogether or one stage at a time.

Engineering organization is used for designing MEMBRANE's own systems as well as Customer's proprietary systems, on their specifications and prescriptions.

- PROCESS development

- PFD and P&ID drawings

- 3D Detail drawings

- 3D Assemby drawings

- GAD (general arrangement), LAYOUT drawings

- MASS BALANCE calculations

- PROJECTIONS of systems' performance

Automation

Overview.

All systems engineered at MEMBRANE rely on internally developed software.

Our I&C department not only has proficient programmers in various PLC and DCS code languages, but also develops graphic interfaces (HMI).

 

Our team is qualified with SIEMENS, ROCKWELL, ABB to program the logic controllers installed onboard our units.

Engineers at MEMBRANE develop HMI based on standard platforms developed for each industry, and provide complete solutions including touch panels, SCADA systems, delivery of signals to DCS, development of DCS graphic pages, and more.

 

Major protocols used for our units include: PROFIBUS, MODBUS, HART, etc.

 

MEMBRANE also owns proprietary servers at its corporate headquarters in Milano, Italy to remotely service and control its units worldwide, providing a valuable optional service to Customers.

As an additional option MEMBRANE has the capability to completely reset remote system and provide disaster-recovery strategies from remote, thus cutting service time and costs.

Custom Training

Overview.

MEMBRANE's engineering workforce delivers highly professional and qualified training sessions for its own units, both on site and at our headquarters.

 

Not only customers are invited to attend classes in our offices prior to shipping the units, they will also work side-to-side with our very same engineers who designed their systems, on site.

Documentation (paper and electronic) is handed in to the technicians attending our courses.

 

All disciplines are discussed, and plenty of details are provided in the respective disciplines, i.e. Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical & Control, Software.

 

Our engineers also administer tests and quizzes (if Customer desires) and ultimately releases certificates of attendance and performance.

 

MEMBRANE promotes safety as the most important value on the job. All classes therefore cover topics that relate to safety and explain the potential risks, the preventive actions and the precautions applicable to each specific case.
