Our freshwater makers are pure Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
Units are based on advanced processes (patent pending) that have been optimized for the Oil & Gas industry in over 30 years of installations inshore and offshore.
A wide range of pre-treatments and post-treatments are possible as simple add-ons to our systems. In facts, process modules are designed in such a way that any custom solution is achieved simply upon request by Customers.
The technology advantage gained in over 600 marine installations, allows us to confidently provide solutions that exceed 30-year lifetime and reduce maintenance to the essential, by allowing our Customer to focus on their core business.
Flowrates range from a 10 m3/h to 1000 m3/h, and more by using modular trains.
The iPRO © Option. All units can be remotely controlled by Membrane on Customer's request, or even directly by Customer via a simplified interface installed by Membrane on Customer's DCS or Control Room.
The iCon © Option. A special instrument capable of measuring the individual membrane performance. This unique, patented, feature allows for optimal maintenance over time of the membrane elements, and offers full guarantee, by analyzing the single element's operating status at the sampling rate of 1Hz. OEM warranty is fully covered when this option is installed, thus protecting the capital invested in the RO membranes.
All our freshwater makers are designed according to CE, ASME, ANSI, UNI standards whichever applicable.
Electrical and Instrumentation components may be for safe area or ATEX compliant.
Pressure vessels are designed and tested according with ASME VIII, ASME X, and PED.
Most systems are installed in refineries, FPSO, offshore drilling rigs.
Sulphate Removal Packages are automatic units that produce softened water in any flowrate. Special NF membranes are employed to meet specific industry needs in the most demanding environments, under complete reliability of operation.
The invested capital is significantly lower than competitor's due to the lack of royalties and premium prices, with our process.
Sulphates are rejected >97% at pressures between 25-35barg depending on the location, recovery factor, and temperature.
Pre-treatments and post-treatments are possible as integrated parts, optionally available on all our systems. Modules are designed in such a way that any custom solution is achieved upon Customer's request.
Flowrates range from 100 m3/h to 2000 m3/h are achieved with a single bank of NF elements.

Fine Filtration Packages are special ASME VIII pressure filters for the oil&gas industry, capable of managing large flowrates and withholding fine particles.
The typical fine filtration unit is capable of separating 95-98% of 3-5 micron particles constituting suspended solids in water. As the typical application is water injection in oil or gas well, the flow rates involved reach and exceed hundreds of m3/h.
Special layered media and finely dosed chemicals are at the core of this application. Fine filters are typically carbon steel, internally glass flaked structures with design pressures up to 20 brag.
The complete chemical dosing packaged necessary to the process is supplied with the filters. The complete skid, painted to offshore environment specifications include valves, piping, pumps, blowers, and come pretested at our factory.
The whole process is PLC controlled, with our exclusive software.
Flowrates range from 100 m3/h to 2000 m3/h are achieved.

Nitrogen production packages employ permselective membranes to extract pure N2 from atmospheric air (typical purity: 98-99%).
All units are PLC controlled to ensure smooth production under controlled conditions.
A series of pre-treatments are available to complete the process, depending on air quality and physical characteristics available at inlet.
Pretreatments include pressurization, heat-exchange, dehydration, oil removal, or fine particle removal.
Units are very easy to operate and require little maintenance. Smooth, 24h/7d operation is ensured by solid process principles and extended experience in this field.
The design is modular, thus allowing any flow rate to be achieved. Examples of flowrates employed on FPSO range from a 100 Nm3/h to 1000 Nm3/h.
The iPRO © Option. All units can be remotely controlled by Membrane on Customer's request, or even directly by Customer via a simplified interface installed by Membrane on Customer's DCS or Control Room.
Bottling Option. As a complement to the N2 production package, we also offer the bottling system to refill N2 bottles at nominal pressures (200-250 brag).
All our nitrogen production makers are designed according to ASME, ANSI, UNI standards whichever applicable.
Electrical and Instrumentation components may be for safe area or ATEX compliant.

Most systems are installed in refineries, FPSO, offshore drilling rigs, chemical complexes.
Sewage treatment applications designed and developed by Membrane range from traditional systems based on ACTIVE SLUDGE, to MBR (membrane bioreactor) systems, and also CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL units, BILGE SEPARATION systems (compliant with IMO 107/49 regulations).
Four different technologies to solve any treating and disposing of sewage streams.
Membrane guarantees achievement of endurable results and full compliance with local laws and regulations.
With a very solid experience with European, Middle East, Far East, and Offshore requirements Membrane has proven capable of meeting any Customer's need.
Process is sturdy, reliable thus delivering stable performance on units that are easy to operate and maintain.
The design includes pre-treatments (such as equalization, anaerobic, denitrification, and more) and post-treatments (such as chlorination, ultrafiltration, and more).
Units can be containerized, skid-based, or installed over a designated area.
The sewage systems can also be redundant: quite often, actually, in severe conditions our Customers ask to setup installations like 2x100% or 3x50%.
All sewage systems are PLC controlled and feature our exclusive software upgraded to the latest edition.
Examples of flowrates range from a 5 m3/h to 1000 N3/h.

Zero Discharge Option: a final post-treatment (including reverse osmosis) that makes treated water perfectly usable for other purposes (e.g. lawn watering, industrial processes, desalination, etc).
Electrical and Instrumentation components may be for safe area or ATEX compliant.
Pressure vessels are designed and tested according with ASME VIII, ASME X, and PED.

Membrane has long-standing agreements with a handful of top manufacturer of UV systems. As a qualified OEM with over 30 year experience, we design and manufacture custom or standard systems for all your debacterization/sterilization needs.
Membrane guarantees achievement of endurable results and full compliance with local laws and regulations (e.g. EU, NIPH, IMO, and more). We even supply and install complete explosion-Proof (ATEX) UV sterilization packages in critical areas.
Due to the high versatility of UV systems, some applications are on primary waters (e.g. debacterization of freshwater loops), others are on sewage (e.g. tertiary treatments). The latest technologies allow UV units also to serve as TOC reduction systems as well as The design includes pre-treatments (such as equalization, anaerobic, denitrification, and more) and post-treatments (such as chlorination, ultrafiltration, and more).

Monitoring, external control. Our UV packages can be remotely controlled, feature local alarms and lamp activity LED, and even measure the UV intensity for an accurate UV radiation dosage control over time.
TOC reduction. At specific wavelengths UV radiation is capable of annihilating organic carbon thus eliminating TOC content. Our UV systems achieve such task with state-of-the-art equipment suitable for extreme environments.
High Pressure Lamps. Among the several options we offer when it comes to choosing UV lamps, we offer high intensity, high-pressure lamps for the ultimate radiation efficiency.
Self Cleaning Systems. Some special waters (e.g. onboard ships, FPSO, cruise liners) need to post-treat sewage with high NTU content (i.e. high turbidity). Our units manage this task flawlessly by radiating high-intensity and periodically self cleaning the quartz glass interface with the fluid to treat.
Manufacturing materials: SS304, SS316(L), polished SS316(L).
UV chambers comply with PED, NIPH, NORSOK, and ATEX requirements.
