RO Desalination

Overview.

Our freshwater makers are Reverse Osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration systems.

Units are based on advanced processes (patented) that have been progressively fine tuned for traditional applications such as the production of drinking water and demineralized water.

Over 30 years of designing, improving, manufacturing, and installing these systems has yielded extremely reliable and robust units whose performance in unparalleled.

A wide range of pre-treatments and post-treatments are possible as simple add-ons to our systems. In facts, process modules are designed in such a way that any custom solution is achieved simply upon request by Customers.

The technology advantage gained in over 400 brackish water and seawater installations, allows MEMBRANE to confidently offer solutions that reduce maintenance to the essential, by allowing our Customers to avoid employing specialized technicians.

Flowrates range from 10 m3/h to 5000 m3/h, and more by using modular trains.

Special features.

The iPRO © Option.  All units can be remotely controlled by Membrane on Customer's request, or even directly by Customer via a simplified interface installed by Membrane on Customer's DCS or Control Room.

The iCon © Option. A special instrument capable of measuring the individual membrane performance. This unique, patented, feature allows for optimal maintenance over time of the membrane elements, and offers full guarantee, by analyzing the single element's operating status at the sampling rate of 1Hz. OEM warranty is fully covered when this option is installed, thus protecting the capital invested in the RO membranes.

Standard Rules and Certifications.

All our freshwater makers are designed according to CE, ASME, ANSI, UNI standards whichever applicable.

Electrical and Instrumentation components may be for safe area or ATEX compliant.

Pressure vessels are designed and tested according with ASME VIII, ASME X, and PED.

Application fields.

Most systems are installed in villages, towns, industries, resorts, ships.

Potabilization

Overview.

MEMBRANE has a very solid experience when it comes to conventional potabilization units: whether it involves multimedia filtration, chlorination, UV debacterization our packages will meet any applicable standards (e.g. WHO, CE, GOST, etc).

Even the selection of media is carefully considered by our specialists, whose strong experience in this field allow MEMBRANE to deliver reliable packages that are easy to operate and maintain in time.

Typical flow rates for these units range from 10 m3/h to more than 1000 m3/h.

Demineralization

Overview.

Our Demineralization systems rely on Ion Exchange Resins, Reverse Osmosis, Electrodeionization.

All MEMBRANE's demineralization units are custom-cut to Clients' needs and achieve the theoretical limits of water purity, up to 18.3 MegaOhm*cm specific resistivity where requested.

Our water demineralization packages are based on proprietary processes and our own patents.

Flowrates range from 5 m3/h to 1000 m3/h, and more by using modular trains.

Application fields.

Power stations, steam boilers.

Wastewater

Overview.

Sewage treatment applications designed and developed by MEMBRANE range from traditional systems based on ACTIVE SLUDGE, to MBR (membrane bioreactor) systems, and also CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL units.

With a very solid experience in worldwide markets MEMBRANE has already proven capable of meeting any Customer's need, both delivering compact wastewater treatment packages and units  where civil works are required (civil works done by others).

The design includes pre-treatments (such as equalization, anaerobic, denitrification, and more) and post-treatments (such as chlorination, ultrafiltration, and more).

Units can be containerized, skid-based, or installed over a designated area.

The sewage systems can also be redundant.

All sewage systems are PLC controlled and feature our exclusive software upgraded to the latest edition.

Examples of flowrates range from a 10 m3/h to 2000 m3/h.

Special features.

The iPRO © Option.  All units can be remotely controlled by Membrane on Customer's request, or even directly by Customer via a simplified interface installed by Membrane on Customer's DCS or Control Room.

Zero Discharge Option: a final post-treatment (including reverse osmosis) that makes treated water perfectly usable for other purposes (e.g. lawn watering, industrial processes, desalination, etc).

Electrical and Instrumentation components may be for safe area or ATEX compliant.

Pressure vessels are designed and tested according with ASME VIII, ASME X, and PED.

Application fields.

Units are typically installed in municipal installations, oil fields, islands, ships, chemical industries.

Microfiltration

Overview.

By employing extensive experience in over 1300 separation units installed, MEMBRANE is highly skilled in designing and manufacturing membrane-based units for chemical recovery.

Applications include separation of hazardous species, organics, suspended solids, and more.

These special units typically deal with unique fluids whose properties are little known. Our engineering support starts with pilot tests that pre-define the full-scale microfiltration application.

A wide range of pre-treatments among which filtration, chemical dosing, oil separations, etc are consolidated technologies MEMBRANE has already installed at satisfied customers' sites.

Any flow rate can be achieved with modular packages.

Environmental applications, industries, electronic industries, food industry, RO and NF pretreatment.

Filtration

Overview.

Filtration Packages are ASME VIII (upon request) pressure filters or cartridge filters for several types of applications ranging from particle separation to RO pretreatment. Small medium, and large flowrates are routinely managed.

Several types of media (for dual- and multi-media filters) are available to choose among, as well as hundreds of different cartridges and materials for the cartridge filtration. Cartridges can even be disposable, reusable, backwashabel, or self-cleaning.

The complete chemical dosing packaged necessary to the process is optionally supplied with the filters. The complete skid, painted to any kind of environment specifications include valves, piping, pumps, blowers, and come pretested at our factory.

The whole process is PLC controlled, with our exclusive software.
